Sterling Flight Training’s partnership with Liberty University presents a unique opportunity for current high school juniors and seniors to earn college credit while completing their private pilot certificate or instrument rating.
The online-accredited courses offer both high school and college credits over the course of an 8-week term. Liberty University can award up to 30 credit hours through the dual enrollment program.
Sterling’s one-on-one instruction method allows for flexibility around school and extracurricular commitments, with only 3-5 activities needed per week during the 8-week term to meet the Liberty attendance standards. That could look like an hour of ground school and two hours of flight or any other combination of instruction.
Courses available for dual enrollment:
- AVIA105 – Introductory Course
- AVIA220 – Private Pilot 1 (practical flight training at Sterling)
- AVIA216 – Private Ground
