Working full-time while pursuing a career is something many people do, but it’s not always the easiest with traditional education paths. With the flexibility of flight training however, you can work with our instructors one-on-one to create a training schedule that fits your needs.
Because we offer flight training seven days a week, you can be a weekend flyer or work your lessons in before or after your shifts. Part-time training is the career-changer’s friend and can be a great option to fund your flight training and living expenses, while making your dream a reality.
For candidates wanting a more accelerated training path, working full-time may not be the most appealing option. With our Meritize partnership, you can finance up to 100% of your training costs with full deferment so you can focus on flying.
If you do plan to continue to work while attending flight school, then finding a healthy balance between the two is vital to your success. Make sure to stay on top of your schedule; study and chair fly in your off hours to keep everything fresh. You also need to make sure you are taking care of yourself. Maintain a healthy routine as far as sleeping and eating. If you exhaust yourself, you are not going to retain your flight training and could pose a safety hazard to yourself and others.
Please know everyone is different and schedules that work for some may not work for others. At Sterling, we are committed to helping you find the right balance to achieve your dream and get you started on your way to becoming a pilot!
